Atom Age Vampire (aka Seddok, l'erede di Satana)
Anton Giulio Majano (1960, USA)
Cast : Alberto Lupo, Suzanne Loret, Sergio Fantoni, Franca Parisi Strahl, Ivo Garrani
Plot:
A dumb blond has a car accident and is half-disfigured. A mad scientist who has found a cure for human cell restoration tries his treatment on her, as well as falling in love with her. All appears to be well, except that he must kill other women and use their glands to continue the treatment, cause the cells degenerate after a while otherwise. Meanwhile, he kills his assistant (i.e. his former lover). But wait there’s more. He also turns into a monster (why??) from time to time, which helps him achieve the murders he needs. He eventually get caught by the police, and stabbed by his mute garden-keeper.
Appreciation: 6/10
This is a B-series 60 movie in its ordinary form. Bad (over)acting, bad script, (unintentionally) funny dialogue, senseless scientific bla-bla, senseless character reactions, bad special effects and bad editing.
Unfortunately it’s not as badly good as it sounds. There are many things to laugh about, but I didn’t find it overly funny, it just gives a continual smile. The blonde’s performance is worth mentionning though, she makes any Hollywood actress look like Oscar-winning. It’s worthwhile watching and entertaining but do not expect too much from it.
Other suggestions: Revenge of the creature 3d, any b-rated from the 60s
