Plot:
Sleaze queen Divine lives in a caravan with her mad hippie son Crackers and her 250-pound (well.. make that 400) mother Mama Edie, trying to rest quietly on their laurels as 'the filthiest people alive'. But competition is brewing in the form of Connie and Raymond Marble, a devilish couple who sells heroin to schoolchildren and kidnap and impregnate female hitchhikers, selling the babies to lesbian couples. Finally, they challenge Divine directly, and battle commences. This is a fight to the death. Who will be king or queen of filthiness?

Appreciation: 10/10 (if only for being the grossest film ever)
This movie is to grossness as Brain Dead is to gore. Intentionally advertised as "The filthiest movie ever", this is the summum of bad taste and filthiness as far as movies are concerned. Unlike more modern movies supposed to be "the best of bad humor" but which fail miserably, this one delivers relentlessly, and with full blows (pun intended..)
Let’s see... we have scatophily, sex with chicken, a big fat mama (totally gross just by herself) constantly fantasizing about eggs, incest (a mother with her son), anus tricks (see it and you’ll understand.. haha), more ugly people, a transsexual, some nameless sexual practices, licking of a whole house, some more ugly people..
Wheew, the list is long and I’m sure I forgot some. And the worse is, this is all filmed as if it was actually true, nothing faked here. The version I saw had a little speech from Mr. Waters at the end, saying that some viewers back then thought Divine was really searched for murder. Makes me wonder how this film can even exist in America, considering their prudish nature..
The whole cast does a wonderful job at over-acting and generally being gross, no doubt about that (a special big thumbs up for the fat mama).
Obviously this is not a movie for everyone, but for those with a strong taste for gross humor should go right away and see this movie.
If this movie doesn't disturb you even a little, you seriously need professionnal help (i'm not talking whores here) :)
